since its establishment in 1941, doaba college in jalandhar has been a leader in providing high-quality traditional and professional education. doaba college jalandhar (punjab) is a pioneering north indian multi-faculty postgraduate co-educational institution with a rich history spanning 74 years. the visionary founders, sh. bindraban sondhi, rai bahadur badri dass, sh. jagan nath mittal, and acharya lajja vati, were arya samaj legends and independence freedom fighters who established doaba college in 1941 to propagate maharishi swami dayanand's ideology. doaba college offers 14 undergraduate and 10 postgraduate programs, along with 6 add-on courses. the institution has a sprawling 21-acre, wi-fi-enabled campus with 65 spacious and well-ventilated classrooms, both traditional and ict-enabled, capable of comfortably accommodating the student body. the hi-tech seminar hall, multi-media hall, multipurpose hall, and virendra auditorium create a conducive learning environment. the infrastructure includes fourteen scientific labs, six computer labs, and two geography labs, all fully equipped with the latest technology. the doaba college campus features extensive playgrounds, a dbt-botanical garden, a green house, a rose garden, computer labs, a sports gymnasium, a multi-media hall, a hi-tech studio, an open air theatre, boys' and girls' hostels, and a well-stocked library, all of which contribute to the holistic development of students and prepare them as potential human resources for national development. merit holders and the top 20 students in the district who score 95% or more in board/university examinations receive free enrollment and textbooks for the entire semester. numerous other scholarships and fee reductions are also awarded annually.
