the columbia group of institutions is located in raipur, chhattisgarh state of india. the institution was formed in 2003 and is categorised as a private institute. it is run by the janpragati education society or jpes. jpes’s fundamental objective is to build better personnel for excellence in the various fields of employment, as well as to maintain the technical and educational capacity required to maintain that quality.â there are a total of five colleges under columbia group of institutions. these colleges are - columbia institute of pharmacy, columbia college of science and commerce, columbia college, columbia institute of engineering ; technology, and columbia college of pharmacy.â 

columbia institute of engineering and technology is affiliated with chhattisgarh swami vivekanand technical university (csvtu) and recognised by the all india council for technical education, and directorate of technical education. the columbia college is affiliated with pt. ravishankar shukla university ; is recognised by the national council for teacher education. columbia college of pharmacy is affiliated with csvtu and it is recognised by pci. columbia college of science and commerce is is affiliated with pt. ravishankar shukla university and is approved by ugc. in addition, the columbia institute of pharmacy or cip is affiliated with csvtu and is approved by the pharmacy council of india (pci). cip is accredited by the national board of accreditation (nba).

some of the popular columbia group of institutions courses are btech, bba, bpharm, dpharm, diploma in engineering, mba, mpharm, mtech, etc. admission is based on the marks in qualifying and entrance exams. columbia group of institutions placements are conducted every year. in 2024, the highest package offered was rs 3 lpa and it was offered to a bpharm student of columbia institute of pharmacy.
